The Most Dangerous Job
Now im not a real fan of this book, however chapter 8 kept me reading. I for one am a meat eater and always have been and I don't plan to change that. This chapter defiently was very extreme. The way they treat those poor inncoent animals is so sad. They walk in the door never nowing that their about to be shot in the head, hung up side down on a chain hanging from the celling and then cut wide open, and soon to be served as diner. This is such a double standard because we eat them to survive however its very sad but I guess its just a way of life I mean we have been killing cows and large animals since cave men days. As long as were not killing dogs and cats im quite alright.
Chapter 7
In chapter 7 the author talks about Colorado being the state of industral slaugtering factories. He makes it a large fact that now a days the moderen factory town has diminshed because of fast food and the price of vacuumed wrapped meat is going up, and jobs are no longer wanted by americans due to pay cut. Each state I beleive has their own so called means of living. As in our state we had all the machine shops that made car parts, light bulbs, and plastic. As we all remember Delphi workers were making over $25.00 an hour or more and now those workers were forced to retire and take a buy out, their jobs were given to others who would settle for a lower paying job. We used to be one of the states that was better off money wise but as time went on my generation will never have good jobs like that with out education. In other words we are now called the rusty nail state.
