World Wide Chains

In chapter three one of the topics that hit home with me was about the growing chain stores. If we think just ten years back we never had a Walgreen's or a Rite Aid on every corner. Is America getting sicker? We may have had a lot of McDonald's that as been worldwide for awhile. For goodness sakes they are in china and as well as foreign countries. Another one is Wal-Mart, now don't get me wrong that is the greatest store ever, however did u know that they have moved to china as well and they sale sea weed! I don't think Americans would be a big fan of that but as you can see they are meeting the accommodations of the people just to make a sale.

This makes me think of the old ma and pa stores. When items were cheaper and employees were friendly and its sad that they were tore apart by big chain stores because they couldn't keep up because sales began to plummet. The reason for this is because it is just easier for us to go to one store such as Wal-mart and get everything we need, from grocery's to yard equipment.
